PRIVACY POLICY

Data Protection Act 2018 (incorporating the General Data Protection Regulation)

I am a registered Data Controller with the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) and my registration number is ZA257473.

In general, the only information I will retain relating to you is your name, address, and your phone number. This is so I can contact you about appointments, billing, and other administrative matters. If we use Skype or other platforms for a consultation then no recording or record is kept of this conversation. I will not leave personal messages with others in your household other than to say I have called.

Occasionally I make hand written notes – mostly as aide memoires for myself. I will safely store these and will dispose of them in a secure way when they are of no value to me and our work. I will anyway dispose of them after seven years after you leave therapy with me.

My computer has AVG protection and all patches are kept up to date.

If I should be requested to write a report relating to you and our work together, you will be given a copy and I may retain a copy, which is only accessible to me, for seven years after you leave therapy with me.
